Welcome to the Manufactured Stone section of our website.
CraftStone® products carry a 25-year limited warranty when used on structures that conform to local building codes and installed according to the manufacturer's instruction. Warranty is limited to replacement of defective materials only. Damages resulting from building settlement, wall movement, force contact, contact with chemicals or paint, discoloration due to airborne contamination, staining or oxidation, will not be covered under the warranty.
Warranty is non-transferable and is only limited to the original purchaser.
CraftStone® products feature the addition of water-based water repellent that greatly enhances the stone's performance in humid climate. Water repellent is mixed with the composite material during manufacturing, thus providing a more lasting effect then spray, brush or paint method.
CraftStone® products show zero flame spread and zero smoke development.
Unique only to CraftStone® product, special contouring at the edge provides space for cement grouts to escape and form additional bonding between individual stones and the wall.
Typically one-quarter the weight of the full-thickness wall, CraftStone® eliminates the need for additional footings or wall ties.
Comes in various textures and colours that will suit any design without worries on colour or tonality differentiation.
CraftStone® is suitable for both interior and exterior application, with numerous architectural and landscaping accessories for the finishing touch.
Installation cost for CraftStone® is often less than half the cost of laying natural stone.
Colourfast and virtually maintenance free, all CraftStone® products carry a 25 year limited warranty.
CraftStone® products have been awarded the Green label for being environmentally friendly. See below for more details.
What is Green Labelling?
Green labelling (or eco-labelling) refers to a scheme which awards environment-friendly products with eco-labels.
Many consumer products in the market whether directly or indirectly, through their manufacturing processes, usage, or disposal, have an impact on our environment. They may cause pollution or deplete our natural resources.
However, there are products which have less undesirable effects on our environment. For example, recycled paper or appliances which conserve energy. Labelling these environment-friendly products helps consumers identify them from those which are less so when making purchasing decisions.
The Singapore Green Labelling Scheme Features
The Singapore Green Labelling Scheme (SGLS) was launched in May 1992 by the Ministry of the Environment. The scheme applies to most products, except food, drinks and pharmaceuticals. It does not apply to services and processes.
The Green Label can be used on products which meet the eco standards specified by the scheme. It is recognised as a member of the international Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN), allowing certification by mutual recognition of SGLS endorsed products by other members of the network.
Administering the Scheme
The Singapore Environment Council (SEC) has administered the scheme since June 1999. The Council is a nationally orientated, non-governmental organisation that seeks to raise the level of environmental awareness and action within industry and the community. The SEC secretariat recommends product categories and solicits suggestions from industries. It also approves applications for the Green Label.
Setting the Criteria
New criteria for the SGLS are established through both industry and consumer demand for products available in Singapore, and those marketed overseas.
Criteria to grant a product the right to display the Green Label are set mainly by three methods:
Once the criteria are set and approved by an approving board, manufacturers and distributors of that product may apply for the Green Label.
Eligibility
Both local and foreign companies can participate in this Scheme.
